Coach Ben kicking for Culver Stockton College

Experience

After training with the TCU kicker Jaden Oberkrom, Ben went to kick for a year and a half at Culver Stockton College (an NAIA school). Given the opportunity to kick for the University of Louisiana Monroe, he chose to stick to West Texas A&M University when he transferred, unfortunately the pandemic cut Ben's college career short. Now Ben works with Athletes trying to become better at their sport. Ben will shape your workouts and kicking routine to generate confidence and results.

Session Plan

Sessions are all about building a strong foundation in technique, power, and in-game consistency. We’ll start with a dynamic stretch warm-up to activate key muscle groups and ensure you're ready for explosive movement. From there, we’ll sharpen your no-step kicking technique, focusing on generating power and precision from a controlled stance. Next, we’ll shift to an accuracy and height drill, where you'll work parallel to the goalpost, aiming to hit the post as high as possible—training your ability to control trajectory and improve lift. Moving into game-specific work, we’ll dedicate time to extra points, reinforcing consistent form, height, and accuracy, as these are the most critical kicks under pressure. The bulk of the session will be spent on game-realistic field goal reps, kicking in sets of three from different, randomized markers, replicating the unpredictable nature of in-game scenarios. Finally, we’ll wrap up with pressure-focused drills, simulating high-stakes moments, rapid in-game adjustments, and crowd noise distractions, ensuring you develop the mental toughness and composure needed to thrive under pressure. This session is designed to challenge you, refine your skills, and build confidence—so you step onto the field ready to perform at your best.
