Meet Coach Ben
Soccer has been a part of Ben Workman's life for as long as he can remember. After spending more than 14 years playing competitive club soccer, including five years in the Olympic Development Program (ODP), he discovered a passion for helping the next generation of players reach their full potential.
Over the years, Coach Ben has trained 300+ athletes throughout the DFW area. He believes every player has the potential to improve with the right guidance, encouragement, and environment. He is committed to creating a positive, challenging atmosphere where players can build confidence, develop their skills, and grow both on and off the field.
His goal is to develop confident, independent leaders who compete with purpose and carry the lessons they learn on the field far beyond the game.
Coach Ben's Methodology
Training Philosophy
Every player develops at a different pace, which is why Coach Ben tailors each training session to the athlete's age, ability, and goals. His philosophy is centered on building a strong technical foundation while developing confidence, discipline, and game intelligence.
For younger players, training focuses on creating a fun, positive environment where they can build a love for the game while learning strong technical fundamentals. As players grow, training evolves to emphasize advanced technical skills, tactical awareness, decision-making, athletic performance, and preparing athletes for higher levels of competition.
No matter the age or skill level, Coach Ben strives to create an environment where players are challenged, supported, and inspired to become the best version of themselves.
Coach Ben believes success isn't measured only by wins and losses, but by the confidence, character, and work ethic players develop along the way.
"My goal for every age group is to increase their autonomy, to feel comfortable and confident with their skill set, and their drive to continue to make mistakes and improve."

Maxwell Devarennes - Head Coach
Meet Coach Max
Born and raised in Mansfield, Texas, soccer has always been at the center of Maxwell Devarennes' life. With more than 20 years of playing experience, including a collegiate career and professional indoor soccer, Coach Maxwell is passionate about giving back to the community that helped shape him.
As one of Next Touch Soccer Academy's Head Coaches, Coach Maxwell is dedicated to providing quality supplemental training opportunities for young athletes throughout the Mansfield and Arlington communities. With more than 2 years of experience in private and small-group training, he enjoys helping players develop their technical skills, build confidence, and reach new levels in their game.
His goal is to help local athletes unlock their full potential by providing the guidance, encouragement, and quality training they need to succeed both on and off the field.
Keenan Clarke - Trainer
Meet Coach Keenan
Coach Keenan is passionate about helping young athletes grow both on and off the field. As a trainer at Next Touch Soccer Academy, he brings energy, enthusiasm, and a strong desire to help players build confidence while developing their technical skills.
A graduate of Legacy High School, Coach Keenan continued his soccer career at Howard Payne University, where he competed for three seasons. He has also played for clubs including Samba FC, Texas Lightning SC, and FC Dallas, and continues to stay active by competing in a local indoor soccer league.
His goal is to inspire players of all ages to develop a lifelong love for the game while building confidence, teamwork, and the skills needed to reach their full potential.
